from Karamoja, with hope

Hope and dignity for every Karamojong child.

Read about our work in 2026

Every child deserves to be remembered.

But every day, children from Karamoja are pushed onto the streets of Kampala by hunger, drought and trafficking, and the system designed to help them is the one that loses them.

There are numerous organisations working with street children in Uganda. Yet very few speak Nga'Karamojong, and fewer still have a presence in both Karamoja and urban centers. To our knowledge, none has developed a longitudinal child-tracking system that supports individual children for the two critical years after reintegration, when most risk returning to the streets.

We can't walk this road alone. Stand with us, and help us turn tumaini, hope, into a homecoming that lasts.

KTN, The Road We Walk With Every Child

A short film from Napak to Kisenyi.

the realities we confront and our promise to 2030

KTN's impact, measured.

We measure outcomes, not activity, and we publish what we find. Here is the road we're walking.

15,500

Karamojong children on the streets across four towns

74.2%

poverty rate in Karamoja, the highest on record

2,500

children we aim to support along the route by 2030

80%+

of reintegrated children still in school one year on

Of 1,000 children removed from the streets in one government programme, only 292 could ever be traced. KTN follows every child for up to two years after reintegration, long after others have closed the file.

Walk this road with us.

Behind every number is a child with a name. Help us stay with them, from the village they leave, through the streets that take them in, all the way home to a classroom, a family, and a future of their own.
